One Year Later....

So, its been a year since my accident and I am just happy to be alive.  I am thankful for all the fun times I have had this past year and for all of you who are a part of my life and help  me make these fun memories....I am also extremely thankful I lived so  I could go and see Bob Dylan =)  That was one of my many life goals!!!

Anyways, life is strange, weird, unpredictable, but most of all an amazing adventure.  Who knows where I will go from here, but I have to say I am freaking excited about it....

Love life baby =)  You only get one!!!

November Get Together

So, Natalie and I have been discussing what we should do for our month this time around.  I know that I told everyone at Katie's to read Twilight, which I hope you all do since the movie is coming out soon and I AM SO EXCITED to see my boyfriend on the big screen =)  However, I started thinking that since it is Thanksgiving this month, maybe we should do something with a giving theme.  I want to ask if there is anyone who would be adamantly opposes maybe meeting at my house for some sort of treat and then going and volunteering somewhere.  I have not really looked into this at all so I don't know where we would all go.  I just was curious as to if anyone would be interested in actually doing this....

Let me know any ideas or problems this could pose.  I will look today to see what event or particular place is looking for volunteers this month....

If that at all does not work, maybe we could just have a little can food and old clothing donation slash twilight party and hang out at my place.

Oh, and it will also have to be an Obama celebration party as well =) He he he

M.I.A....

So, I have kinda been lacking on viewing blogs and posting blogs.  I don't really have any reason for this except for that I kinda forgot about this whole little blog world we are a part of.  So, since I have not been reading to find out what is going on in all your lives, or posting so you can see what is going on in mine, I guess I will give an update as to how things currently stand....

Bob Dylan was amazing!!!  Nothing like drinking and smoking with a bunch of old hippies in the rain.  I did however sacrifice my phone by loosing it sometime throughout the show.  So, I no longer have any of your phone numbers.  If you want, you can text me or call me so that way I have your number.  It is up to you though....

Thanks for going to lunch with me Haley.  It was fun and much needed to catch up on what is going on in your life.  Your daughter is amazing.  I loved how everyone was so attracted to her and her cute little ways.  I am happy for you....

I am sad that I am going to miss this months get together.  I am leaving tomorrow for a work conference in Phoenix and I am not getting home until Saturday night.  Rock the hell out of it for me though =)

Other then that, life is life.  I have seen a few good shows and made a few good memories since my last post.  My hip is back to sucking again but it is fun to walk with a cain because it is a great conversation starter.  And, that is about it.....Life is weird that is for sure.  

And if you read this Andrea, I am going to call and make an appointment for you to do my hair again.  People have started to point out that my roots show so I guess its time for a touch up =)

Life Is Good...

I just wanted to say that I am really appreciative of where my life is right now and the direction it is heading. Things could not be looking better = ) Thanks to my wonderful family and friends, I am happy.

Not to mention only six days until Bob Dylan!!! Hell ya...

Also, thanks for the wonderful time at Sheena's baby shower this weekend. I had fun with you girls...

My Hip, My Hip, My Lovely Lady Hip =)

So, just a quick update on my hip. I went to an orthopedic specialist on Monday to have him take a look at my hip, and it turns out things have actually gotten a lot better then expected. It seems as though my hip and pelvis have healed up really well. He thinks that the only reason I am still limping is just from pain. The pain is coming from the fact that there is no cartilage between my actual hip bone and pelvis so they are constantly just rubbing bone on bone. The good news is, that this pain can be managed. Yes!!! I should be able to walk more like a normal person here shortly. Oh, and the best part of it all is, he does not see the need for a total hip replacement here in the near future at all. At least not as soon as was once expected.


Oh, and on a side note. This last Friday I went to see a Beatles cover band play in Tooele Utah and they were the shit. It seems as though this month is going to be bomb for concerts. I started August out seeing a band cover the Beatles which is the closest I will get to seeing them in my lifetime and I am ending it seeing the original BOB DYLAN....Life couldn't be better.

Bomb Ass Concerts...

So far this summer has been full of some pretty sweet shows. Last week John Mayer, from what I can remember, ROCKED. I love him and I love his views on life and the world. Plus, he is major sexy =)
Just last night, I was able to see Joe Cocker and The Steve Miller Band. They were both AMAZING. I was really happy to be able to share that concert with Mary Beth, Kenneth, and Austin. Some of the most important people in my life. We rocked it out and danced like mad men all night long. It was epic. I am really happy I got to go with Kenneth. He leaves for school again next week and I haven't really spent as much time as I would have liked to with him this summer. Oh well though, last night created some great memories to hold me over until next year...
I am excited for the shows that are coming up as well. Wilco at Red Butte Garden will be fantastic.
However, there is nothing I look forward to in life at the moment as much as I do about seeing BOB DYLAN. It is going to be so amazing to see my idol live on stage at Deer Valley Resort. Lawn seats, a cooler of beers, good friends, and awesome music. What more can you ask for in life??? Only a month and counting till the highlight of my summer takes place!!!!!!!

Hmmm...Technology is weird =)

Hello peeps =) I figured after hearing all of ya'll talk about your blogs at the last get together, I would partake in yet another social injustice of conforming to what is "in"...Kidding, I just thought that since I don't see you guys but once a month, if that even actually happens, I would do what I could to stay in touch...
Keep in mind I am a blogging virgin.**Wow!! Didn't think I would ever get to refer to myself as a virgin again, and I bet neither did you guys =) Anyways, here is my blog. Now what do I do???
